Ancient Grain Porridge with Maple Pears and Sultanas
(2 generous serves)
Ingredients
- 1 cup DCF Ancient Grain Porridge
- 1 ½ Tablespoon chia seeds
- ¼ - 1/3 cup Sultanas
- 6-7 pecans, roughly chopped (or whatever you have in the cupboard)
- 150ml OatUP Original
- 300ml Water
- Pinch Salt
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp cinnamon or mixed spice to taste
For the maple pears
- 1 pear, sliced
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan)
- Place porridge ingredients into small casserole & stir well
- Put on the lid and bake in the oven for 20 mins
- Go and have a shower and get organised
- Remove the porridge from the oven and stir. Put it back in for another 10 minutes
- Meanwhile, place the pears, maple syrup & cinnamon in a small saucepan & simmer gently for about 5 mins until the pears are soft. Add a splash of water if needed.
