These oats are grown by Steve and Kelly Ford, regenerative farmers who own and manage farmland at Williams in the South West Wheatbelt. They run merino sheep for wool and meat and grow a variety of crops including oats, canola, wheat and lupins.

Bannister is the variety of oats grown as it yields relatively well in their system and environment and is preferred by the millers, with the groats being quite large. The oats are minimally processed and have been dehulled, steamed and rolled to denature the enzymes and stabilise them. They are a vegan super staple and incredibly nutritious and delicious. A great addition to baking, burgers, granola, smoothies etc.

Oaterly delicious

I am addicted to these oats and love that they are WA grown. I soak them overnight in Oatup oat milk, add some chia seeds, vanilla extract and a dash of maple syrup. Perfect for breakfast (or any time of the day!) with fresh berries

Great oats but why the heavy plastic packaging?

These oats are excellent and are great in bircher porridge and for cooking biscuits. They are much better than mainstream brands and are good value.

My only disappointment is the packaging - if supermarket brands can use cardboard boxes and the oats maintain their form how come these come in such heavy duty plastic bags? It kind of detracts from the whole point of buying regenerative products. Hopefully DCF is working on this!
